MOSCOW. May 9 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has stressed the need to resist attempts of reviving the ideology of Nazism and xenophobia and said this requires the solidarity of all peoples on the globe.
In his speech at the parade on the 61st anniversary of V-E Day on Tuesday he said Nazism and xenophobia are leading the world to a blind alley.
He said that the threat of the enslavement of humankind appeared in the past because the ideology of Nazism had been underestimated.
"The solidarity of nations in the face of present-day threats remains a decisive, invaluable reserve. Peace, freedom and the neighborliness of nations are the foundation of a fair democratic world order," he said.
