I shit you not, this guy has written a program called "Homeland Security Threat Monitor" that sits in your system tray and tells you what the current terror threat level is.
Go to this page (http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/Homeland_Security_Threat_Monitor/homelandsec.html) to take a look at it.

Here are a couple of reviews people posted at snapfiles for the program...
Is this really necessary?
Why build an app for this? You can get the same effect by placing a yellow icon on your desktop. It will change color just as often as the threat alert. Should the "Color Of The Day" change, unless you live in a cave like Osama, you'll know. Every news service around will be screaming about it immediately and then constantly every minute of the day and night. This app updates every 7 hours, so any changes in the "hysteria level" might be old news before it's icon changes color. Yes, I downloaded it. It's cute. I LOVE the "Duct Tape" icon setting (duct tape? I laughed and laughed!). All in all, a nicely done, but almost entirely useless app that even the author admits is a bit silly.

You've got to be kidding me....
This is by far the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a long time. Why on earth would I want to be reminded what few idiots in Washington feel about a "color for today" I'm sure you have great skills in writing apps, dear Author. Please use it for something that actually makes sense and does not place people in a fake bubble of the fools in government.
