Melbourne, Sept 11(ANI): Director Ridley Scott is reportedly planning to bring the character of Maximus -played by Russell Crowe in his Oscar winning flick 'Gladiator' - back to life, despite it having been killed off in the original.
Speaking at a press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival, Crowe said he and Scott had talked about making a sequel to the 2000 hit.
"We talk about it every now and then," the Australian Associated Press quoted the actor, as saying while promoting his latest film, "A Good Year".
"We did make it kind of tricky for ourselves considering we killed the character at the end of the first one, but stranger things have happened in Hollywood," he added.
Crowe currently is based in New York, where he is starring in Ridley Scott's next film, 'American Gangster', alongside Denzel Washington.(ANI)
