But there have been several on topic, and I don't have time to search.
My friend sent me this movie. It offers an interesting visual:

The $ Cost of War
Cost of the War in Iraq- National Priorities Project (http://costofwar.com/)
$167,816,738,852
As of 8:43 a.m. cst, Saturday January 15th, 2005
We have spent $150 BILLION in the Iraq War
Congratulations, We could have hired 2.6 million teachers, paid for 1.6 million students to get a 4 year education, and fed the world for 6 years. Don't you feel all warm inside?
A Break Down
There are 167,726,832 tax returns filed for 2003. That includes estate, corporate, etc.. If you divide 150 BILLION into 167,726,832 the answer is 894.31 (app.).That means for every tax return filed, $894.31 is going into this war.
That is a lot. Check my math:150,000,000,000/167,726,832=894.31 let me know if I am wrong
I wonder what would happen if every year we made three less B-2 bombers and put that money into public education?

those numbers are mind boggling!
can you imagine having that much money for education? There would be no need to cut art programs, music, language ...
I believe I'm officially disgusted
