When I do my "nightly rounds" with the news, those are the sites I go to... there are times when I do specific news for certain things, etc... then that brings up a lot of things...

totalfark.com has some very diverse links on it, that sometimes turn up nice stories. It's members only, fark.com is the cut down version of it.

I tend to check www.bbc.co.uk a lot, or http://www.scotsman.com/
