They are blaming Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. I guess this means they will have to stay in Iraq to fight terrorism and get him.

ABC threw him and Osama's names out there as those most likely to be responsible. Saying the bombs were much like the ones used in Iraq against the U.S..
they found and exploded a bomb they found today as well..

Bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a bus in Edinburgh after a suspect package was discovered on board.
Police evacuated a section of Princes Street after the find was made.
A spokeswoman said they had cordoned off the area and added that officers were on high alert due to the terror attacks in London and the G8 summit.

As dz just said to me, I hope they took pictures of the unexploded bomb before they blew it up. It would seem to me they would try to find out where it was manufactured... check for fingerprints...

killers do whatever type of attacks get the job done. they only want blood. and fear to be perpetuated through your society. that way they have the upper hand. knowledge is power in these cases. so is a watchful eye.

Damn, they are quick aren't they...
It never fails to amaze me how these ginned up attacks get an official story within 24 hours that takes the heat off the real terrorists. The only reason I think Madrid was a genuine al Q'aida job is because they actually investigated and it took about three days to rule out the Basques and suspect al Q'aida, even though AQ had claimed responsibility about a day after the attacks.
They did find unexploded bombs in Madrid too, does anyone know what type they were? I'm sorry I forgot.
