This shows that public outrage CAN make a difference. Don't be afraid to speak your mind, it DOES make a difference!!!!

I think the public had nothing to do with it... I think this was planned from the very beginning... put a candidate forward who is laughable, get the Republicans and Democrats to make a "stink", withdraw her when the indictments are about to be released, put someone in the Supreme Court who will REALLY screw us over.

For once, we are in agreement. Not about Miers.

what do you mean, not about miers? I never said gave any real opinion of her, besides I thought she was weak. You should have heard the people on the news talk about her supreme court hearings, even on fox news. According to them, she was barely speaking, so the politicians interviewing her could barely hear her, and most of what she said was "constitutional cliches".

Ok. I agree that Miers was the worst possible candidate... I think that was on purpose.

It's at the top of the page. Also, my explanation of what they did is a few posts up.

Because it's something Karl Rove would do.

To take the focus off of the indictments that are expected to be announced tomorrow. On a Friday. Friday's are the death of "news".

Yeah, a congress fight of a supreme court nominee would be more entertaining than that.

I don't give two shits that she withdrew personally. Ok, great, she withdrew, now nominate your right wing justice so I can get even more angry. That front page is backwards... considering that indictments have already been secured.
